Chicken Verde

Ingredients

  • Tomatillos
  • Poblano peppers
  • Jalapeño
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Cilantro
  • Chicken bouillon/broth
  • Lime
  • Chicken

Optional Ingredients: 

  • Corn tortillas
  • Queso fresco

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425° F
  2. Roast tomatillos, peppers, garlic, onion for half an hour
  3. Remove garlic halfway through
  4. Allow peppers to cool and remove skin & seeds 
  5. Blend tomatillos, peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro, chicken broth, and lime juice
  6. Sear chicken 
  7. Add salsa purée to chicken
